Abbotsford is a Canadian municipality in the Fraser Valley District of British Columbia. It is the fifth biggest municipality in British Columbia. In 2001, the population of the city was 147,370 and an area of 359.18 square kilometers. Abbotsford is located immediately north of the Canada-United States border. Most of the city has remarkable views of Mount Baker, a large glacier-clad volcano just across the border. Abbotsford is served by the Abbotsford International Airport, located in the southern part of the municipality.
